Description
A vintage 70´s unique free form three-legged art pottery ceramic bowl by Arabia Finland. The bowl is designed and made by Finnish designer Francesca Mascitti Lindh (born 1931 in Anversa Degli Abruzzi Italy). The technique employed in this bowl is typical of Francescas work. Signed FML on the bottom, but can hardly be seen.
Francesca Mascitti Lindh was born in Italy in 1931, inheriting artist family and the Finnish heritage from her mother’s side and Italian art and culture on her father’s side. This has been the basis for her unique ceramic art, mostly created at the Art Department of the Arabia factory between 1955 and 1989. She was interested in the contrasting qualities of different clays, and her own distinctive technique has established her as one of Finland´s leading potters.
