Description
One of the most popular art glass birds, the red Ruby bird was introduced in 1992 and is surely one design that every collector of Oiva Toikka glass birds must have. The bird has a transparent ruby red with silver, gold and metallic blue spots and changes colour with different light. The head is metallic blue. Iittala´s red glass colour discontinued from production at the end of June 2014. At the same time the Ruby bird discontinued Iittala launched a new red colour, cranberry, in mid-August 2014 and replaced all current red glass items with the cranberry colour.
