Description

Two probably French Empire porcelain urns with Bacchus head handles from about the 1830s – 1840s. The urns have a similar painting of lovers on one side and different pictures of farmhouses on the other. There is no factory stamp in the urns. One urn is in better condition than the other. Inside both there is something brown mass on the bottom. The attachment of the second urn between the foot and the urn is loose and the corners of the base are worn. The gilding of this urn is also more worn than the other, which gilding is also worn. See pictures. The urns may have had some kind of covers originally. There is also a small size difference between the urns.
